The Nature is mother of all. That is why it is called Mother Nature. Mother Nature provides us health and wealth. The basic survival requirements like air, water, shelter and food for all the creatures of this planet Earth provided by the Nature. Nature has been doing this service for millions of years without charging anything from the users. The Nature is evolving on its own. The Nature has the capacity to renew its resources to supply to human beings and other creatures.
Free accesses to natural resources made human beings to be greedy. As there was no opposition from the nature for their unsustainable actions embolded human beings to continue their activities without minding the repercussions. Over drawing, over possession and over consumption are the order of the day. There were warnings, alert from the scientists and climate experts right from 1972 Earth Summit to till date, but no improvement in managing the damages done to the Nature’s resources.
On the otherhand unstoppable, unsustainable activities by human beings on the nature’s resources led many environmental issues like global warming, pollution, shortages of resources and climate change.
Addressing the climate change issues demands focused attention and actions on reducing Green House Gas (GHG), being led into the atmosphere. Most of the world countries have consented the Paris agreement and agreed to work for reducing GHG but hardly achieved the Target. Time is running out, but a common concrete environment friendly action plan does not surface across the world. Macro level action along with sectorwise action plan plus individual house holds environment friendly actions will make a great change in preserving the only ‘Earth’.
The Green Earth Research Foundation started four years back with the intention of taking this information to all through social media i.e., YouTube. |
